INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE – QUALITATIVE EXPOSURE ASSESSMENT STUDY

IH & HSE Professionals who are engaged in Planning, evaluating and control of Occupational Health hazards at workplaces. This includes but is not limited to: HSE Manager, HSE Engineers, Chief Industrial Hygienist, Snr. Environmental Engineers, Industrial Hygienists, Environmental Engineers, Safety Engineers, and Occupational Health Professionals.

Learning Objectives:

This program aims to support IH professionals who are engaged or plan to conduct QLEA (Qualitative Exposure Assessment) in their organize with effective outcome and considering applicable technical requirement.
• Qualitative Exposure Assessment Study& Software Evaluate existing controls, its effectiveness and define recommendations
• Preparation of Sampling Matrix, Validating Risk Assessment and define requirement for Quantitative Exposure Assessment
• Case Study (Oil & Gas sector and Construction industry) & hand on experience conducting QLEA using selected tool.

Course Outline:

Understand nature of Process, complexity, objective, scope and available controls
Develop Strategies, resources planning and process / task details review
Define Similar Exposed Groups (SEG) Identification of Hazards: Chemical Hazard,
Physical Hazard, Biological hazard, Ergonomics Hazard and Psychological hazard.
Determine potential health effects by: Review SDS, Route of Entry, Exposure pattern and potential, level of control rating, critical observations, and its root cause
Understand Industrial Hygiene Exposure Standards & Guideline: Local & International Determine Qualitative Risk Rating, Control Banding Approach, COSSH Essential
