Safety Integrity Level (SIL) & Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)
Code :W-PDC 2023-POST-2
Fee: KD 550(USD 1800)
This course enables students to understand and apply the principles of functional safety to the development and assessment of safety systems, to the IEC 61508 standard. It illustrates the primary elements of the Safety Lifecycle and how these are applied to safety systems development. It covers the assessment of safety systems to confirm that functional requirements and risk reduction targets have been achieved. Students will develop expertise in applying techniques necessary to specify, implement and assess safety systems to meet the requirements of IEC 61508. Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) is a valuable tool for determining the risk associated with the handling, transport and storage of hazardous substances. This practical, hands-on online training course on QRA will enable the participants to conduct a quantitative assessment of the risk and integrate the results into design and operations in Oil and Gas and Process industries.
