John is a Global OSHA Authorized Trainer and has been interviewed for his safety and health expertise and OSHA insight by NPR, BNA, and Safety and Health Magazine. He conducts training on numerous safety and health topics, including exam prep courses for ASP, CSP, and CHST. John earned a Master of Science (MS) in Industrial Management from Northern Illinois University. He also earned CSP, CHST, OHST, CIT, and CET

Learning Objectives:

Include accident investigation purpose and planning; investigation team roles and responsibilities; preparing an investigation kit; investigative process; preserving and documenting the scene; accident analysis techniques; developing the event sequence; root cause analysis; causation models; Fishbone diagrams; organizational factors; accident reconstruction; witness accounts and interviewing techniques; incident records; developing accident investigation reports; legal aspects; and implementing appropriate follow-up actions.
Students must pass a written exam and a practical exam in order to pass the course and earn authorization. Contact Hours: 8.
